Proposed  XL 883 L Sportster motorcycles to be  in full compliance as follows:

A. Engine
Piston  displacement of not less  than BB3cc Electronic  Sequential Poft Fuel  lnjection V-Twin,  air-cooled,  with two cylinders equipped with overhead valves, producing minimal  vibration frequencies and magnitudes. Engine  and transmission  isolated  from motorcycle frame through a rubber mounting system.
o  Powertrain  silver powder  coated engine with polished  treatment.
.  Chrome, staggered dual exhausts
B. Glutch / Transmission
.  Clutch  shall be of the  latest multiple plate design,  wet.
.  Transmission to be of latest design, manual  type, with not less than  five (5)forward speeds.
.  Primary Drive-chain
.  Final Drive-belt
.  Gear Ratios

C. Brakes
Hydraulic  disc brakes  for both front and rear wheels. Front brake  having a singlel  1.5-inch  diameter disc;  rear brake shall be single disc. Brakes  shall be relatively  free of heat fade, with dual piston  front and single piston rear, featuring patented, uniform  expanding  rotors.

The first Electra Glide model, introduced in 1965, retained the “Panhead” engine developing approximately 55bhp. Riders of the new model appreciated the ease of starting that the electric start brought, but noted a loss in performance due to the increase in weight. Harley Davidson remedied this deficiency the following year with the introduction of a revised engine featuring “Sporster” style cylinder heads. Nicknamed “Shovelheads” the redesigned engine offered approximately 5 bhp more than its predecessor restoring the Electra Glides performance to Duo Glide levels. Little changed on the machines until 1970 when the generator was replaced by an alternator. It is interesting to note that a hand change variant of the Electra Glide was still available for police use as late as 1972! Handlebar fairing (part).

The Electra Glide Harley-Davidson is probably the most famous motor cycle ever, and certainly the machine that made Milwaukee famous is the one bike which just about anyone in the street can identify readily.

For 1978, the familiar 45° vee-twin engine of the Glide was uprated from its famous 1200CC to a full 8ocubic inches, which is 1338.8cc, making it the largest capacity bike ever built by the American company and one of the largest built by anyone anywhere.

With 7221b of weight to carry, the Glide needs all the power it can get and is still only just able to reach the magic 100mph in its latest guise. Just to save the Glide owner from any nightmares, a centre stand is not fitted, and the bike has to be rolled on to its massive crash bars for any repairs or wheel changes. The company boasts that the bike has the widest tyres available for its flagship in1978 and they really do grip the road in the dry, even to the point of screeching when they start to break traction. In the wet, however, the beast deserves the upmost respect for they are quite willing to break away even at low speed. The single disc units mounted at either end are not nearly as effective as the drum units of older models, and this is one point where Harley-Davidson would have done better sticking to their famous traditions.

• Priced starting at $14,499, the Wide Glide returns as an all-new Dyna model done in old-school chopper style, with black laced wheels, a chopped rear fender, black “wire” sissy bar, 2-1-2 Tommy Gun exhaust and an optional flame paint scheme.
• The new Street Glide Trike joins the Tri Glide Ultra Classic in an all new Trike family for 2010.
• Dressed in satin chrome and denim black, the new Fat Boy Lo presents a darker and lower interpretation of the motorcycle that defines the fat-custom segment.
• The 2010 Street Glide model gets a larger front wheel, slimmed-down exhaust, and a new tail light assembly.
• The Harley-Davidson VRSC family features the liquid cooled Revolution V-Twin engine: V-Rod, Night Rod Special and V-Rod Muscle.
• The Harley-Davidson Sportster features six models for 2010, including the $7,999 Iron 883 introduced mid-year 2009 and four others priced less than $10,000.
• Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) comes with four limited-production models for 2010: CVO Softail Convertible, CVO Street Glide, CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide and CVO Fat Bob. The new models are refreshed for 2010 with new paint schemes and styling details and are powered by a Twin Cam 110 engine, the largest displacement V-Twin offered by Harley-Davidson.

To begin Evo Big Twin (84-89) and Evo Sportster (86-87), the OE cables can be used without adapters.
